Christopher Main Sr and his wife Amelia Weaver left Henry County,
Indiana and moved
a last time to St Joseph County, Indiana and settled in Warren Twp NW of South Bend.
Both are buried at Portage Prairie Cemetery in German Twp in a rather
idylic setting although
the inscriptions on the stones are getting very difficult to read. The gigantic tree seems to add
to the serenity of the scene and mitigates the obvious ravages of time on the plot itself.
The large tilting MAIN headstone has multiple inscriptions:

the widow of Seth Backus, and she is buried nearby and next to Seth Backus.
